Walkies @ are secure dog exercise fields on the outskirts of Plymouth – one in Wixenford, one in Bickleigh and two in Hemerdon.
Our dog walking fields provide safe, private and self-contained spaces for you to walk and exercise your dog in the beautiful Devon countryside!
Perfect for dogs with temperament or recall issues, our dog walking fields offer an enclosed area for your dog to play, run and walk without a muzzle, lead or other dogs nearby.

Fully Secure Space
All of our dog exercise fields in Plymouth are surrounded by a 6ft-tall, high-tensile steel fence to give your dog a safe and fully enclosed space to be in.
Convenient Locations
Our secure fields for dogs are conveniently located – one in Wixenford on the edge of Saltram, two in Hemerdon, and the other close to Dartmoor in Bickleigh.
Affordable Prices
Our secure field hire is cost effective and affordable, with a sliding pay scale depending on the length of session and the number of dogs. And there are subscriptions available.
Private, Sole Use
All of our sessions give you the exclusive use of our secure dog exercise area, so that you and your pet are the only ones in the field during your booked time slot.
Flexible Sessions
To suit the needs of you and your pet, you can book short slots of 30 minutes – perfect for quick walks – or longer sessions of 60 minutes for training or more exercise.

About our Dog Exercise Fields
We aim to provide a space for dogs and their owners to play and enjoy themselves in a stress-free environment. If you need an enclosed space to allow your dog to roam without a lead or muzzle or you simply need a safe and secure area to work on their recall ability, then the Walkies dog exercise fields are the perfect place for you!
Our dog walking fields are secure, fully enclosed and offers exclusive use for up to eight dogs, in sessions of 30 or 60 minutes. We’ve got sessions available from 5 am to 10 pm 7 days a week, so you can book sessions around work, school and other commitments at a time that suits you. The fields are completely surrounded by a 6ft high fence to ensure that your dog is safely contained and unable to escape from the area, either by jumping over the fence, wriggling underneath it or squeezing through the fencing.
We have a water supply at our Wixenford & Hemerdon fields, for you to fill up a water bowl for your pooch. All our fields have on-road, in-field parking, picnic benches, in addition to a small shelter, so that you can keep out of the rain. Please note, you will need to bring toys and poo bags with you, as these are not supplied.
Rules for Visiting
When you visit our dog exercise field, please ensure that you agree with and abide by the following rules of the field:
Visits to the field are strictly by appointment only.
Remain in your vehicle until the previous session has finished.
The field is used at your own risk.
You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour.
Dogs brought to the field must be wormed and properly vaccinated.
A person over the age of 18 must supervise the dog at all times.
Dog poo must be cleaned up immediately and taken away with you at the end of your time slot. Any persons found not cleaning and removing dog waste will be banned.
Any litter must be taken away with you at the end of the session.
